Three Varsity Soccer Players Recognized for Kindness After Homecoming Games

Three Red Creek Central School District varsity soccer players have been recognized in Section V’s “Caught in the Act of Kindness” campaign. New this year, the initiative aims to promote positive examples of sportsmanship.

High school students Damon K., Bethanie K., and Ashlyn K. were nominated after they helped clean the field and stands after homecoming games. Read the full nomination below:

“After a spirited homecoming doubleheader, Red Creek soccer players Damon, Bethanie and Ashlyn K. showed that sportsmanship doesn’t end at the final whistle. Instead of heading home, the crew stayed behind to help game staff clean up the field and stands. Their quiet act of kindness didn’t go unnoticed and served as a reminder that character off the field is just as important as performance on it.”
